Once upon a time, in the beautiful mountains of Jackson Hole, there was a very important man named Jerome Powell. He had a big job—he was the boss of something called the Federal Reserve, which helps decide important things about money. Mr. Powell was getting ready for a super important speech that everyone was waiting to hear. But guess what? He wasn’t alone!

Up on the roof of the big hall where Mr. Powell was working, there was a sneaky, clever cat named Dumpster Cat. Now, Dumpster Cat wasn’t just any cat. He loved adventure, and today, he was on a mission! He had heard everyone talking about Mr. Powell’s big speech, and Dumpster Cat was curious. He wanted to find out what Mr. Powell was going to say before anyone else did.

So, Dumpster Cat climbed up to the roof and peeked through the skylight with his trusty binoculars. He could see Mr. Powell sitting at his desk, surrounded by papers, looking very serious as he read through his notes. The room was quiet, and the only sound was the soft rustling of the papers.

But what was Mr. Powell thinking about? Well, earlier that day, the stock market—the place where people buy and sell pieces of companies—had been acting a little funny. Some parts of the market went up, while others went down. People were nervous because they didn’t know what Mr. Powell was going to say in his speech. Would he talk about making money easier to borrow, or would he say something else? No one knew for sure, and that made everyone feel a little jumpy.

Dumpster Cat watched as Mr. Powell took a deep breath and scribbled something on his paper. “Hmm,” thought Dumpster Cat, “he must be thinking really hard about how to help everyone with their money.”

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows over the mountains, Dumpster Cat decided he had learned enough for the day. He carefully climbed down from the roof, his mission complete. He knew that tomorrow was going to be a big day when Mr. Powell would finally share his speech with everyone.

But for now, Dumpster Cat was happy knowing he had a little sneak peek. With a satisfied grin, he scampered off into the night, ready for his next big adventure.

And as for Mr. Powell, well, he didn’t know about his furry little visitor. He was just focused on making sure his speech would help everyone understand what might happen next with the money in their pockets. Tomorrow would be the big day, and everyone, even Dumpster Cat, would be waiting to hear what he had to say.
